What you will be doing:
You will be assisting the Assistant/ Finance Manager based in Malaysia. You will be a self-starter who will operate with significant autonomy and participate in process improvement projects to drive automation and efficiency.
- Conducting the monthly accounting close process for the group of companies, which involves journal entry postings, report generation and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of supporting schedules for disclosure obligations.
- Ensuring compliance of financial records with the relevant accounting principles, standards and regulations.
- Preparing company-level monthly management accounts and reports for the group entities.
- Assist in the annual audit process for the group entities.
- Assist in tax-related matters, including both direct and indirect taxes for the group entities.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of reports and provide support for accounting queries and issues.
- Preparing data and reports for external parties, including government agencies in various countries.
- Performing additional tasks as directed by the Senior Finance Manager and Assistant/ Finance Manager.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- A minimum of 3 Years of experience in finance and account-related fields are essential for this position.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Capability to work independently and on multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Exhibits a positive work ethic and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Xero is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, technology, software, and applications.
Note:
- While this is a remote work position, we will require the candidate to be based in KL.
- Candidates with shorter notice/immediately available, will have an added advantage.
